I am an artist. My images were on the front covers of the first four issues that Hugh edited.. New Contrast Issues 137-140

 

I am in the process of setting up a website called African Arts and Crafts for Artists, Art Galleries, Art Shops, Art Exhibitions, Art Training and Workshops, Art Lovers, Art Sellers, Art Buyers, and everything Arty, to have a place where you can buy and sell work, supplies, and other arty and crafty things online.  Where you can have a forum to engage with each other, know what's on in the marketplace, hear about competitions, and what events are going to take place in the near future. Where you can Buy Art Books and Art DVDs, join Art Associations, and see a regular Featured Artist.  I will do a lot of the Marketing for the artists and try to find and implement innovative ways for Artists and Crafters to make a sustainable living doing what they love best.

This is where we live and work.  The view is from the top of the hill. We love walking up the hill.  It takes us about 60 minutes for a round trip to the top and back.  We have a catwalk that goes past our house that becomes a boardwalk as it gets closer to the Slangkop lighthouse.  This is great to watch surfers and people walking their dogs.  The poo is the only down side.  Many people are loathe to pick up behind their dogs.  Very inconsiderate.  Otherwise Kommetjie is a perfect location, especially if you don't have to drive in to town for work.
